In my last article I mentioned how the Brisish Heart Foundation in the UK advertises and helps fund research into heart disease. Today it was nice to see that my grandmothters village is ensuring residents are aware of the threat of heart illnesses and are fighting to prevent it.
From seeing these simple posters and campaigns I cannot help wonder what, if anything cities in Japan are doing to spread awareness and ask for charitable donations regarding the matter. Although second hand shops thrive in Japan, none are set up as charitable causes. I believe the time for change is here.
